Why so many entries are untiered: The six tiers (preserver, naturalizer, design-individual, right-shape, mechanism-demonstrator, discourse-trap) describe how a counterposition relates to PSF's mechanism. They apply to foils and to corporate exhibits that function as foils. Theoretical resources (Paul, Faulkner & Runde, Thornton, MacKenzie, etc.), empirical evidence (METR, Cruces, Bean, etc.), and supporting materials are intentionally untiered: they provide scaffolding or data, not counterpositions to PSF.
Why so many entries have no tier: Tier labels (preserver, naturalizer, design-individual, right-shape, mechanism-demonstrator, discourse-trap) describe how a counterposition relates to PSF's mechanism. Theory resources (Paul, Faulkner & Runde, Thornton, MacKenzie), empirical evidence (METR, Cruces, Bean), and supporting data are not taking positions on PSF, so they do not carry tiers. Tiering them would be a category error.
